Ear force 41x help for the PC.

Thread Starter
I currently have a pair of Ear Force 41x headphones I use for m xbox. Im trying to figure out if its possible to hook it up to my pc.

EDIT:
http://www.turtlebeach.com/products/...force-x41.aspx

Iv'e attached the optical cable to the S/PDIF optical out port in my motherboard but im not getting anything out.

I use the Realtek HD Audio Manager but unsure if its not sending the signal through the port of it its just the headset not picking it up.

I'd really appreciate any suggestions you guys could give!

Im sure I didn't provide enough info but Im not sure what info you may need! I'll try to answer any questions as best I can! Thanks!

Are you getting light through your toslink cable?
If you are then have you selected the Optical out as your default audio device?

If you want to use your speakers go to your Playback devices in Windows and select Speakers as the default playback device.

If you want your X41s on Optical out then pick the Realtek Digital Output.

You have to switch between the 2. When I used my Trittons I had an AutoIt script that would change the playback device with shortcut keys. If you are interested I can post some info when I get home.

I am getting light through the toslink. The 41x receiver is getting a digital input signal light. I hadn't set "Realtek HDMI Output" as my default playback device but when I did it still seems im not getting anything out of my headphones... Im not sure if its something wrong with the headphones themselves or if its something im missing...

Also should I only have to have a Toslink cable attached to the computer? Or should I have something hooked up to that coaxle port as well?
