Is Portal 2 going to be a game that you play on a daily or even weekly basis? No. However, that doesn't mean that both the single player and multiplayer element aren't worth the price of admission.
People these days are so obsessed with how long a game is. Who gives a damn if a game is 30 hours long if its terrible? Portal 2 offers around 10-12 hours of total playtime, and every second of that is fantastic. What more do you want?
most games that cost full price offer something more than just an 8-12 hour long story.
They often include a multiplayer that can be played more than once.
I'm not hating on the game, i didnt buy it because it has zero replay value, and i want something more than what Portal offered.
They could have revolutionized multiplayer with the portal guns. Could you imagine an interesting competitive game that involved nothing but portal guns. Say 2vs2 where each team tries to get across a goal line using portals, and the other team can dislodge the ball by getting the other play to fall through their portal. ETC, they could have done so much with multiplayer that did not involve shooting each other.
Had they done something like that, i woud have purchased it.
