i7-860 OC Prime 95 Temperatures

Been running for almost 6 hours...it's @3.6Ghz at 1.232 volts. Those temperatures look ok for it running at 100% load that long?

Hmm try reseating you should be cooler than that for that speed....

What TIM did you use?

I actually should say it's been running since about 11 PM Eastern time last night, just had one worker process fail so I adjusted the voltage this morning and it's still running now. Everything is passing. Idle was around 39C I'll give a better reading when prime hasn't been running for awhile.

Still no good?

Also I'm seeing some very different temperatures with HW Monitor and RealTemp 360

Realtemp: 82 84 78 81
HWMonitor: 79 81 76 78

Maybe not huge differences but different enough for me, what's more reliable?

Idle temperatures seem to be 39/39/39/35 so I guess I shouldn't be worried.

I would be curious to what your stock temps are, and if perhaps a reseat might help. I'm using the same TIM, but a different CPU cooler, with a 870, and at a higher voltage have seen lower temps using prime95.

Did you try using IntelBurnTest? That is a little bit quicker to test for high temp issues. I have mine set stock right now, it idles around 29-30C on the hottest core, using IntelBurnTest it gets up to 52C on the hottest core. Using prime95 for the same time frame it only got up to 48C.

I'll set my voltage/clock speeds similar to yours for a comparison.

What setting for intelburntest and how many times did you run it? I'll give it a whirl, thanks +rep

The AC Freezer 7 Pro is not the best HSF to keep that i7 cool. I think your temps look about right considering that.

I'm sorry but this "Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2" is just not enough to keep i7 cool

I figured it wasn't, realized it after unfortunately...thinking about going to:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835185142

or

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835103065

if the temperatures get any worse.
