I have done some checking on my AX1200 power supply, it seems that with the power supply switched off with its own switch!! i still have some power to my motherboard!!
every 2minutes the Maximus motherboards flashes (briefly) the rog logo, start,reset & various Led's. this carried on all night!! cannot be good for the motherboard!
only way to stop it, is pull the plug.

It's perfectly fine for the motherboard, it's designed to cope with 24/7/365 supply of the 5v standby. You're talking no more than the power of the average cellphone battery.
