Gtx 470 vs gtx 560 vs hd 6950 - Page 2

Dual 560's are a beast! wink.gif

1GB 6950s are about the same as a good clocking 470.

But it has better thermals, and noise. I'd go for the 6950 if the drivers don't scare you and you have no plans to go CF/SLI.

I see, I posted the wrong link, you were right

Just get the 6950 or GTX 560 (both of which I linked). Both are great cards, perform similarly, and overclock similarly. Both are cool, quiet and don't use a lot of power compared to previous gen. The only benefit of the 6950 is that it may unlock (shader mod) but it would be up to you if you wanna take the risk (if you brick it you can always tell newegg it came doa if you can't flash it back yourself).

Just get either of the 2. Both are great.

1GB 6950s don't unlock.

I would do either the 560 ti, 6950, or a used 480.

Scratch that...

I'd grab this: http://www.overclock.net/video/98805...nty-160-a.html

GTX 470 Lifetime warranty, $160.

You can't beat the price/performance and it has a lifetime warranty so it might as well be new.
