You're right I'm sorry. You never claimed they were morally acceptable, just that they are smart, , they DESERVE respect, are role models, and you don't see a problem with what they are doing. Hitler was good at his job too, like it or not.

hitler killed 22 million people.

these guys are making money off of people's stupidity. if you don't see a difference, then you're blind.

they are smart, they do deserve respect, and they are role models to future businessmen who aren't bound by ethics.

And Hitler was a role model to leaders not bound by ethics. He was pretty smart to, and by your logic deserves respect. He was good at what he did and took advantage of those who were stupid enough to believe his lies. The only difference was that he killed people, but if ethics don't matter who cares if he killed people?

Your logic doesn't go very far. Unless you really are a professional scammer .

It hurt me because I have to hear about it all the time. It's annoying to say the least. Plus people bugging me when I don't log on...ever. Now people think fb games = pc games which is like saying a dime = wealth. I'm sure there are plenty of people here that have similar experiences. Plus it is a target for unnecessary hate. If it didn't exist no one would hate it. Those reasons might seem trivial, but fb has caused hurt however insignificant it may seem. I'm sure it has caused bigger problems too like ppl breaking up over some fb drama etc...

i also said that they didn't hurt anyone in the process of making money and so long as they didn't hurt anyone, that's ok. clearly there is a difference, and you know that full and well.

Future businessman not bound by ethics? What? Apocalypse?

Some of your comments on freedom/business are absolutely astounding, and I can't determine if you're trolling or not. Businesses not bound by ethics would gladly pillage and rape society, both financially and literally (you supporters of the idea included). They already toe the line.

I honestly can not understand where people of the mindset you share get your source of admiration or respect for companies. Defending their ultimate right to make as much money as they want without ethical restrictions is removing all positive human interest and replacing it with capitalistic exploitation.

You really trust people enough to take what they can without burning it all to the ground?

History check? Financial crisis?

I can't see how you would possibly think that is a good thing unless you were in the minority making the money. And even then it turns society into a dancing monkey whose purpose is to make and spend money. Personally, I find a lot more important in life an humanity than being like a sacrificial cow to bleed out into the cups of a few greedy people who think its all good.

Edit - sorry I'm being so argumentative about it, but you're basically saying it is ok to forget about people and their lives, and to treat them as an exploitable resource as long as you are "smart" enough to make a business to exploit them.

I find that extremely offensive and the same mentality that causes much inequality and suffering.

But if ethics doesn't matter, why is human life still important? Why must they be bound by some ethics and not others? You're basically saying its ok to lie and manipulate, but once hurting someone comes into play they've gone too far?

essentially yes. People are an exploitable resource to companies however, i have a strict "if you're dumb enough to fall for it, then you deserve to be ripped off" mentality. You guys are comparing people who are just doing the best for their companies to hitler, a mass murderer. Unless these guys' products are killing people or come with side affects that aren't reported by the companies, and they stay within the laws set, they are doing nothing wrong in my opinion, and i look up to them for building such a successful carreer. The people using their products didn't lose anything other than money that they did not need.

So if I manage to trick you into giving me all of your money you're ok with that? I highly doubt that. Also if you truly believe humans are an exploitable resource, you should see a therapist.
