Sony did ask for and store the CC security codes. All companies need to do this (fact) if they want to automatically apply charges to a CC. In layman's terms, every time I bought something on PSN I did not need to re-enter my CC information, because Sony kept it on file (number and security code). The only
way a company can get away with not storing the security code, is if they ask you to enter it every time you buy something.
Edit: Since some users report they never had to enter their security codes, perhaps it is different for each country? I can confirm I did need to use mine to purchase PSN stuff.Edited by CorkyFan - 4/28/11 at 4:59pm
