But you should also lower resolution accordingly.

Its sad that BB models do not support quad cores. I also havent done any cooling mods, but I was looking at that Forged Mod. It looks like it might be useful.

Forged Mod? Never heard of it.

Saw the T9600 and I think I may pick it up. Saw that many people are also getting 3.4GHz from it, though I'm a bit worried that I may be pusing the FSB and Memory too high if I do so. Right now I'm at the absolute max. when it comes to that. That, or settle for 3.3GHz.

Yeah, it sucks I can't put a Quad-Core on it, as I definitely would put one in, seeing you can get some at decent clocks like the Q9100 and then OC a bit.

Hi there,

Looking at possibly getting one of these, but only if I can confirm that all 3 video ports can run external monitors at the same time and at 1920 x 1080.

Anyone know, been trawling the internet so far without much luck on an answer.

Regards,
Jason

It should be able, but forgot about any gaming.

Not looking to game with 3 monitors, looking at being able to run 3 monitors at work, I have a Samsung MD230X3 Multi-Display 3 Monitor setup that I want to use with it.

So I am hoping someone can possibly test and confirm what it is capable of :0)

Check it on notebook review forums. They have bigger base on laptops than we are.

I like the fact that the rest of the laptop is understated and matte plastic and doesn't look cheaply made. The deal-breaker for me really is the price. I think it's too expensive for what you get.

Still, I hope you enjoy.

Really? I thought the price was amazing for what you get. The GT 555m is only slightly slower than the GTX 460m. And I mean slightly slower. The CPU will destroy everything out on the market at the moment even without the dynamic frequency it has built in for the Turbo Boost.

Personally, I thought it was the only deal that Alienware had going. For $1200, it sports a better GPU than most will ever put into a machine of the same size, has a legit blower fan for the CPU and GPU separately, meaning a cooling system that has some effort put into it, and looks sleek and professional.

I'd have just bought it stock outright if I had the cash. biggrin.gif

Not seeing much on there either, I know people are planning to game on them, so 3 screens is probably not something to test.

If anyone can find proof of running 3 screens at 1080p from the laptop and not using matrox or anything else, would be greatly appreciated, I can't find anything.

I doubt this can to it because even with desktops, Nvidia needs to have 2 cards to do 3 screens.
