Help with tri monitors

Thread Starter
I have 3 monitors but I can only get 2 to show a picture. I have a gtx 460 supporting 2 of the monitors and an 8500gt supporting the other. Device manager sees both the 8500 and the 460... I have a feeling I missed something simple...

Any suggestions?

How about Nvidia Control Panel?
What does it show in the page of 'Set Up Multiple Displays'?

is it even possible to do so ? thought you would need 2 x 460's for nvidia surround . dunno how the 460 pares with the 8500gt to give you 3 screens

should of went with amd , i have eyefinity running of 1 6970 .

It does take 2x 460s to have Nvidia Surround.
However, OP is not trying to setup Surround, just 3 working displays.

OP:
1) Can you show a pic of the Nvidia Control Panel's 'Set up Multiple Displays'?

2) Do you mean you can easily get any 2 of the 3 Displays to work?

3) Right-click on Desktop and go into Personalize. Click Apperance and Personalization. Does it show the 2 cards, allowing you to connect a total of 4 monitors?

You can run three monitors, but it wont be in "Surround Vision" as others have stated. nVidia requires SLI (or dual-gpu) cards to run Surround. You should however be able to run three monitors as an extended desktop type setup.

Also what cables are you using to connect? Make sure all the monitors are working off each port, etc etc.

Have you checked that you can see the monitor in the windows screen settings?
