Just because everything we "usually" listen to is recorded in 44.1Khz/16bit doesn't mean I cant dream about an absolute absurd and largely unnecessary sampling rate =D

Heck i think count the number of 96Khz files I have on my PC on my one hand. Really what I was just trying to say is the DAC on the STX is pretty decent for a first source.

Anyways, congrats on picking up the 595s. My friend has a pair and they were what turned me on to sennheiser in the first place. Enjoy them.

I have a pair of hd555 with the mod and love them. ive used extremusic sound card with them sounds very good if your on a budget. im using a hifiman ef2 tube amp/dac now.
the hd555 are easy to drive you really dont need to spend a fortune to drive them.
