You probably have to go with a switch of some kind.
Even if you find this cable, I'm almost certain it wouldn't work how you want it to.

I still wouldn't like connecting it like that maybe I'm just being paranoid for no reason but meh.
I definitely wouldn't spend money on a cable though if you've got some old ones lying around (and who doesn't, old headphones ftw for the extra male connector).

There are three wires for 3.5mm jacks. Left channel, right channel, and ground. The left and right channel will usually be white and red wires, the ground will be just a thickish wire all on its own with no shielding (except for the actual cable).

edit: but duh, diodes could be eaiser. Like Fryer said, buy 4 (don't need to be amazing, just el cheapos. I'd suggest Schottky diodes). Then just solder one onto each channel wire on the male-side of the cables.

Paranoid? Are you saying this could potentially electrocute my computers or something? o__O

No, you could get feedback or noise, because you're connecting an output to an output. Lol, drawing diagram now for real.

Can someone explain why the set-up I posted won't work though? I won't be playing audio from both sources at the same time, only from one source.

Ok cut the wires where the diodes are drawn. You'll see two shielded cables inside for each side. Those are the wires that need the diodes. Just connect the wires you cut using the diodes, tape it back up.

here's a pic of the wires.

Each of the three silver bits on the plug connects to one of the wires. The two smaller wires are the sound channel wires. Those are the ones to connect the diodes to
