isn't it Joules = watt seconds

4(10^15)W x (1.5 × 10^(-14))s = 60 Joules per pulse? Am I completely lost?

it can wreck ""havok""
it can create ""crysis""
it can bring ""doom""
it could let u ""command and conquer""
it can destroy anything in ""split/second""
it can ""shift"" the space-time continuum

so any more questions....

2X10^17 J/S x 1.5X10^-14 S = 3000 J
3 Kj/4.184 = 717 Calories or the energy from a big mac lol

Pfft, I hate Science News threads on OCN. I don't think there's been one interesting post thus far about the actual topic.

What I'm wondering is, why this news is only referenced on a few sites. Even neglecting the sensationalism, it's still pretty interesting in the scientific world. I'm just always a bit sceptical when an article appears almost "unique"
