[Vortez] Lian Li PC-V1020R review

Any computer case enthusiast will know that Lian Li deliver some of the highest quality cases on the market. Those with a taste for aluminium enclosures and a heavy wallet will cast other case manufacturers out of the way for this brand as within the community Lian Li are deemed the cream of the crop. Today we will be taking a look at a mid-tower chassis called PC-V1020. PC-V1020 was launched at the very end of 2010 and became available to the consumer earlier this year, it has some very interesting features with many patented implementations throughout - a great deal making the screwdriver redundant.

Equipped with 8 expansion slots, the PC-V1020 will support SLI and Crossfire allowing 305mm (12") graphics cards, the PC-V1020 also has a removable motherboard tray, support for lots of storage options and 3 preinstalled cooling fans - 120mm and 140mm. And this is just scratching the surface, there are many more features to talk about and look at closely so lets waste no more time and begin our analysis of Lian Li's PC-V1020.

They also have the first video I've seen of it:

i just love lian li cases in red, they look so much better than black and silver. Black n red is the best combo for cases. Nice looking case shame about the cost really but its what you expect from lian li

Great case, just sold it though, had it sitting around. Next best case to my FT02.

This may just be my next case.

LianLi has always made top-notch cases. I am surprised that anodizing hasn't caught on more than it has. I suppose cost is the primary factor.

I grew out of full size cases and am happy with my mini p180b, but if I was in the market for something full size, it'd probably be a v2000 or something like this. Just cant beat the full aluminum!

Lian Li... Simply the best

Great case, lots of room. Although I would like to begin seeing more cases with adequate space behind the front panel for a 240 rad. And I would love to see one in an anodized metallic blue. wubsmiley.gif That would be hot.

On a side note I just ordered some replacement parts from Silver PCs for a PC-62 I am going to get powdercoated for my daughter. I have to hurry up. Her b-day is in only a month and I have a lot of prep work to do. wheee.gif

Building my sig rig in this case later today (black version), as soon as I drop by Fry's to pick up the Hard Drive and Optical Drive. It's beautiful and wife-approved, which can't really be said of some "gaming" cases.
