Looking for new 14-15" laptop

What will be the uses of this laptop?
Multi-Tasking, Word Documents, Light gaming.

Do you have brand loyalty or care which brands we select for you?
No

What screen size do you require?
14-15.6"

What screen resolution do you require?
HD Preferred.

Are you looking to buy NEW or would refurbished/re-certified/used be okay?
New

How long should the battery last? (Under optimal conditions, no movies/games/heavy internet)
2-3 hours minimum.

What games would you like to play with your laptop? And on what settings?
COD, Homefront, some Indie Games...Playing games on an external monitor. (1920x1080) Low-Medium Settings.

What operating system do you need? (if any)
Windows 7.

Is there a certain style of laptop you want? (aluminum, black, gaming, etc.)
Not In particular. I'll take a bunch of recommendations and then choose from them.
How much hard drive space do you need?
N/A (I'll purchase an SSD separately.)

Do you need any special hardware? (blue ray, webcam, specialty ports, etc.)
Webcam would be nice.

Is there anything else we need to know?
I'd like to mostly use the laptop on my 27" external monitor. And then when i need to take it with me, Unplug the monitor and go.

This ASUS laptop looks like a winner.

specs:
7 Pro x64
i7 640M(2.8GHz)
4GB DDR3
320GB
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470

price= $1,150

seemed to be the best in the 14-15.6" range. there were some others with slower quads, but higher price, but this one looked (to me) like the best bang for buck and will handle light gaming, or even some heavier (not on full settings...its a laptop)

Check out the M14x, its a new line from Alienware. 1600x900 is an option on it as well. base model starts at $1,199.00.
