Crazy Amount of Problems with new Mobo... Please Help!

Thread Starter
I just bought the ASRock M3A770DE just to be able to use some DDR3 ram ive had for a while.

Anyway.. When I went to install Windows 7 64 Bit, I got errors like crazy and different corrupted files, etc.

Eventually I got it to install but now when I start it, it says "Windows could not complete the installation. To install Windows on this computer, restart the installation." and when I go to restart it, the same thing happens.

Ive tried everything I could think of, including safe mode. Same result.

Has anyone had any experience with this and could help?

Ram is Centon MemoryPOWER DDR3 1333 2GBx4

Thanks

Jared

try some different ram, if you aint got none then try one at a time. set the default ram settings in the BIOS and make sure that everything is on the manufacturers specifications it should all be on the provided boxes or manuals.

Try and get some memory listed in the compatibility list and if that doesn t work RMA the mobo maybe you have a bad CPU socket or defective RAM slots.

Make sure there's only one HHD connected
Clear CMOS as mentioned above
Try loading windows with only 1 matched pair of ram
Make sure to format the the drive as you install
If you have another machine available test the HDD

Be sure the board you got is compatible with the RAM you have. If they don't like each other, you'll run into headaches trying to do anything on your PC...

Increase the CPU-NB voltage, may be necessary for the IMC to handle 4 DIMMs
