My First Overclock...1055t

Thread Starter
So I decided back in September I wanted to upgrade my PC. Went out and purchased a new Mobo and CPU, an Asus M4A87TD EVO and AMD 1055t. When I made the purchase I had no plans to overclock as I had no clue as to how to do it. Till yesterday...

With my purchase I also bought a Hyper 212+ Cooler but had not installed it until a few days ago when I decided to see what overclocking could do for me.

After a few unsuccessful tests I've finally found a stable platform to settle with. Let me know if anything looks bad or needs to be changed.

Running at 3.7ghz @ 35-38 degrees Idle/45-48 degrees Load (Celsius)

Any suggestions?

Try bumping the voltage and taking it higher, those are some good temps! As long as you dont go over 62 you are good

Just bump the frequency first, not the voltage. It's a horrible waste running too high voltage when it's not needed.

Get 4ghz. It's not that difficult. My "first" overclock, took it to 4ghz.

is the cpu less stable at the stock multiplier of x14? trry 1.45v cpu and 1.4v CPU-NB

also, why is it running at single channel? if you have 2 pieces of RAM on the same channel, you'll get lower CPU-NB stability
