Windows Recovery Disc - Asus Laptop - Help Please=)

Thread Starter
Hello,

I just got an Asus G73SW-XA1.

Upon first logon, it's suggested to make a recovery disc, and that's exactly what i'm doing. It says it will need about 5 dvds.

What i'd like to know is:
1. Is this disc also saving all the bloat ware i'd like to get rid of? (I plan on instantly recovering it once i'm done.)
2. The program making the recovery disc is called "AI Recovery Disc", Is this the correct program? (It happens to be frozen right now because i closed the laptop while it was burning disc 1, i may have to restart all over again, i didn't think the laptop would shut off because i closed the lid.)
3. Will this save my serial code for windows 7 home premium 64bit?
4. Is there another way to do this? (restore windows 7 home premium on this laptop without all the bloatware they send it with.)
5. Do i run any risks trying to do this?

They did not send me a windows 7 disc or recovery disc which is upsetting.

Help would be greatly appreciated,

Thank you

3. Eh. Maybe. If not, there is always a COA somewhere on your laptop.
4. Download a legit Windows 7 ISO and burn it to a USB drive, way easier.

If i remember correctly the windows recovery option makes basicly a copy of your hard drive as it is saving all documents programs pictures ect.. so the bloatware will probablly be on there as well. It should save your key as part of the recovery disk set as well. As stated you can just download a iso and use it but it will not have all your drivers in it unless you add them

I would go through and set up your system exactly how you want it with all the drivers installed and bloatware removed then make the system recovery disks. I wouldn't do it with all ur pics and music those i would back up to a external instead
