Most people know D14 is better. The question is how much better?

pretty sure linus purposely overvolted the crap out of that processor just to get the temps high and really stress the coolers....apparently the D14 is as good as they say....me want.

14 degrees difference just doesn't sound right.

Part of the problem was Linus used Noctua P12 fans on the H70. The low speed Noctua fans don't have enough airflow for the tightly finned, thicker rad. If he used the stock H70 fans or AP-15's, it would have performed better.

The moral of the story is do not use slower Noctua fans on tightly finned rads. That and D14 performs better than H70 with similar fans.

This is sort of a Review, right?

I remember a Temperature Review in the News section, and people were saying "this website is full of Bull, because they only tested each Cooler once, when they should Seated them 3 times"

Noone has mentioned that here (prolly because its Linus), But I guess i can say it:

He should have seated each CPU cooler 3 times and then come with the results.

Nice, but h20 cooler looks much cooler
Not when it has the same fans as the D14

I like the D14, but it's a monster heatsink. I'd get the H70 for a clean look and it's really not as bad as this guy makes it out to be. The BSOD was funny though.

The link above is one of many cases where the H70 shows that is just as capable as most of the top of the line air coolers.

The guy seems biased in the video, big surprise his results support that bias...

I also found it interesting that he has the radiator sitting there with obstructed flow from the table.
