Overclockers club only overclocked the i7 920 to 3.3 GHz (166 x 20).

It was only for info only-but if you check any were else you will find pretty much the same results no matter how they over clock, useing the 620-it realy is a great little cooler for the money. And its big brother i will assume at moment will do much better, at $139 u.s. I think antec has done a great job on this third gen all in one.

i live in a tropical country
so its better if i get an h50/h60 over an overly large air cooler?
(im not entirely sure if i could get a d14 locally anyway)

meh.. this is all verrry confusing :/

It gets loud, well over 50db just to beat the H70 in terms of performance, it's more or less the same thing as a H70 since it was made by Asetek too but has different tubing and cold plate. Fan might be a higher RPM version too, but radiator is the same.

Really $140 for that? I know MSRP is $120, but that's just too much, I hope it factors in shipping cost at least. At that point, why bother paying that much? H70 even if it performs a slight bit less in cooling, it is at least quieter. But if you're gonna spend that much, get a real water cooling kit. The 620 is the only product worth considering since it can get close to H70 performance while maintaining a decent price (~$70) but eventually falling short of top end air.

well the shipping is free from antec for one-and sorry-i was wrong on price for the 920 it is only 120. And the fan i got with my 620 is a great fan. and every comparison i have seen-it out does the h50 and matches the h70, and the fan is quiet. I am very pleased in spending $70 for my 620. With a push pull, and quiet fans(for over clocking nothing is that quiet) 54c full load @ 4.117 @ 1.44vcore/1.50vcore full load. So my guess would be the 920 will completely out do any all in one out there with out a prob. Plus 3 year warrenty-better hoses-And check the reveiws once-doesnt fall that short of the best HUGE air coolers. But i still love my 120 true extreem

^dosn't get it.....at all... when testing my PC at 4.0 and 1.550Vcore I saw a max load temp of 44c... with a single san ace 1011....and 21c amiants.

Imo. The base on the H50 and H70 isnt perfectly flat. It may need a good lapping to get a drastic increase in performance.
I have not seen any loss of performnace in air coolers on any PC i own, Ambiant temps where I live can be 85(this is F scale mind you!!!) in summer with 100% humidity and I'm finding with my silver arrow, the warmer it gets, the better its working. My ambiant temps and humidity are going up and my cooler is keeping its Load temp. so far this afternoon it was 26-27c in my room. Max CPU load temps with 1.3500 Vcore @ stock clocks was a whopping 38c. To compair, last time I tested ambiants where at 21c and temps where 37c. I idle at roomt temp regaurdless. Recap. Ambiants rose by 5-6c, load temps only rose by 1c. only thing better than a high end air cooler at this time is a full blow water loop, or some of the insane stuff with DICE and such. I have seen pretty much every review I can get my hands on for Hybrid Water Systems, and high end air coolers. At this time no review support the claim that they(hybrid water coolers) are better. please post one if you have it!! would love to be corrected.

I have a massive cooler with a san ace 1011 on it, even with a second 1011 it show's no sign of "warping".

That's pretty cool compared to my 36c. =P

And another thing with most aluminum filters, they end up getting corroded after a year or two of use. The last one I had lost its finish as if it were sand-blasted. ;/

Even with the best filters, dust manages to somehow get in!

I dont wanna thing about the temps later this summer....lol.

I'm liking the screen mesh filter's so far. The one's I found local where dirt cheap! like a buck or two.

Yea...dust will get in there no matter what, just gatta go in and clean it out lol. I have noticed that my CM690II is better at keeping dust out than my Antec 902 was.

At that ambiant temp, what dose your comp hit at full load?

Ur not serious. 212+ is definitely good for it's price, but it does not compare to any high end air coolers at all.

at 4.0 GHz 1.35V (NO-HT) I hit 95C on 212+

at 4.0 GHz 1.36V HT I hit around 74C max with NH-D14

It is an amazing upgrade for me
