Deck Legend, Mionix Zibal or ?

Thread Starter
I'm looking for a keyboard with...

- MX Black (I think)
- Backlighting
- The backslash key (\\) just above the Enter key
- A full size Backspace key

As far as I can tell this pretty much limits my choices to the Deck Legend and the not-yet-available Mionix Zibal, right? If so, are there any replacement/after market key caps available for the Deck that use a different font? I really dislike the font that Deck has chosen.

I thought the font on the Deck looked pretty silly myself, but after seeing it in person I really don't mind it at all. The only character that still bothers me is "K" with that funky little tail on it, but aside from that, the font that Deck uses really isn't bad enough to complain about.

I think Deck's font was chosen for legibility, as opposed to looks . The parent company makes similar boards for police vehicles and stuff like that.

They are very solid built boards though. Theoretically any Cherry MX keycaps will fit for the most part, but I don't know of any availble that would let the back light shine through.

The Deck Legend font was chosen because the keyboard designer was a LOTR fan.

Wait for Mionix or buy an Xarmor u9bl-s.

Brown switches are almost linear, they aren't the supposed middle way between black and blues, so they are good for gaming as (the blacks), but are still not bad for typing (unlike blacks).

Xarmor is also less expensive and is better looking than mionix (matter of opinion) and deck (a fact).

Wait for Mionix. Everybody with any style sense knows it makes the other backlits look like bad 1980's scifi props.
