Windows 7 Recovery Disk + New Laptop, Anyone Experianced?

Hello,

I just got an Asus G73SW-XA1.

Upon first logon, it's suggested to make a recovery disc, and that's exactly what i'm doing. It says it will need about 5 dvds.

What i'd like to know is:
1. Is this disc also saving all the bloat ware i'd like to get rid of? (I plan on instantly recovering it once i'm done.)
2. The program making the recovery disc is called "AI Recovery Disc", Is this the correct program? (It happens to be frozen right now because i closed the laptop while it was burning disc 1, i may have to restart all over again, i didn't think the laptop would shut off because i closed the lid.)
3. Will this save my serial code for windows 7 home premium 64bit?
4. Is there another way to do this? (restore windows 7 home premium on this laptop without all the bloatware they send it with.)
5. Do i run any risks trying to do this?

They did not send me a windows 7 disc or recovery disc which is upsetting.

Help would be greatly appreciated,

Thank you

I'm sure the recovery disk is only going to reset it to factory settings, which means your bloatware will not be removed.

Isn't your serial key on the bottom of the laptop?

I'm not sure, it might be.

If i find the serial key on the bottom, can i use that to download win 7 somewhere without all the crap bloat, install it, then install the laptops driver dvd, and just have a clean install that way?

I'm just trying to get a clean install for this machine =p

Alright just finished that, got a fresh install of windows now.

I put the ASUS driver disk in, it has all the bloat ware, and tons of drivers. Do i want to ignore every option there is?

Including:
Intel Turbo Boost Technology Monitor, ATK Package, Multi-Card Reader, ASUS SmartLogon, ASUS Wireless Console3, Live Update, BIOS Flash Utility (windows Version) AI Recovery, eManual Utility, Screensaver, ASUS Expressegate Cloud utility...

i mean their is so much **** on this disk i have no idea what the hell is needed lol.

Suggestions? Any of this have to do w/ power saving modes on laptops? lol

Always use the drivers on the website, they are newer. Drivers on the disk are old. You dont need any of that except the drivers.
