Although they run a bit expensive, and as far as I know all use Intel graphics, Lenovos are pretty solid. Got my R61i 15.4" for college and I love it

I'm not against Macs if you really want one, they're just a bit more expensive than even Lenovos >.> At any rate, I wouldn't go with the Air unless you honestly need a computer that can fit in a manilla envelope.

my wife got me a MBA (macbook air) 13" for graduation from BCT and i freakin love it. does what i want (skype and chat) and i its super simplistic. simplicity was what i was all about. you cannot get any sexier than the air. and the battery life is really great! unless im gaming or something on it, it holds a good charge.

I bought a 13-inch MacBook Pro about two years ago. I haven't upgraded it (it has a Core 2 Duo, GeForce 9400M, 2GB RAM, etc.) but it runs older games fine. Build quality is "decent," but completely outstanding. It runs quite warm, too - to the extent that I use a fan speed controller for it.

However, what are you looking to do with your notebook? Is gaming a big priority? Portability? What is your budget?
