FF6 won't be a "Windows port" - Page 2

When firefox minimizes the massive toolbars, I'll try it out. Till then, no thanks.

Yes, the toolbars look good in windows (a good size), but not in linux. My netbook needs all the space possible.

The only things that interested me was the "Do not track" feature being included and the force minimum font size control that it gave me (a life saver on the netbook). Outside of that I really don't see much to it. I just hope it continues and keeps Google from monopolizing. Otherwise they'll turn horrible and we'll be left with reconq or some other less enjoyable browser.
if you are using ubuntu or one of its many derivitives, it comes with 11.04 but if you are on the previous release just add this ppa:

http://ppa.launchpad.net/mozillateam...-stable/ubuntu

slackware has had it for awhile, you have to get it from the extra folder i believe it is in, in current.

as for the others distro's, google it

At first I thought the title meant Final Fantasy 6 won't be a windows port and I was all confused.

Well, I was more talking out of the default repos. But I'm staying away from 11.04 for now; along with the latest "stable" kernel. But I'll definitely give it a go whenever I get 13.37 this summer.

The really strange thing for me is how opposite to your experience I'm having with FF and Chromium on my netbook. FF 3.? is only slower to open but has been as fast or slightly faster than Chromium. Then again everything is just messed up with my netbook.

Still, FF has been the only tarball that made me feel like an idiot because I tried everything I could think of and googled for an hour to no avail. Definitely hurt my nonexistent pride.
