Does turbo clock harming my cpu?

Thread Starter
I was just wondering whats better turbo clock ON or OFF:

-i have it now on 3.5Ghz with turbo clock ON and jumps to 4.1 whats worries me is that the voltage jumps from 1.325 to 1.464 every time CPU do.
-is it better turn off turbo, and just set it clock to 4.1 on cpu
-whats making it less painful for CPU
-system is stable in both

Thank you in advance for your answers!

turn it off and set the clock manually. 1.46V is definitely in the uncomfortable range for 45nm chips. Having it constantly spike up and down like that most likely isnt doing wonders for the chip either.

As a matter of fact, set it for 4ghz. Doing so will allow you to run almost exactly as fast with a far less steep power and heat penalty, due to the lessened voltage requirements.

If it is always under 1.5V,you are fine. 1.5V. is the max spec recommended from AMD.
Have you overclocked the CPU Northbridge (NB)? Stock is 2000Mhz. Raising the CPU/NB to 2800mhz or more can really improve performance. It would also be better to disable turbo core and run it at 4.1Ghz.
Make sure the HT link stays at around 2000Mhz (actual is 2008Mhz)
