Suggestions on tweaking my overclock

Thread Starter
Currently have my overclock setup as follows on the below sig rig:

Clock Speed: 4.018GHz
Temps: 36C (Idle) 55C (Stress Testing Full Load)
CPU Multi: x20
CPU NB Freq: x13 @ 2600MHz
CPU Freq: 200
HTLink Freq: x10 @ 2000MHz

DRAM V = 1.635v
NB Voltage = 1.400v
CPU/NB VID Control = 1.275v
CPU Voltage = 1.525v

RAM:
x8.88 = 1600MHz 9-9-9-24 T1

Any suggestions as to what to tweak to gain performance or lower temps slightly (not a fan of the 55C under load). Any help would be appreciated

Is 1.525v the minimum you need to stabilize that 4ghz clock?

It isn't using the full 1.525v it is showing in CPUZ at 1.504v currently.

but when I lower it to 1.475 it doesn't pass IBT or Prime.

*EDIT* I'm going to tweak it some more, keep the ideas coming i'll check back shortly.

Well, honestly 55c load isn't killing your cpu, I mean it IS clocked at 4ghz. If I were you I'd start tightening the ram timings.

Did you try to OC with the FSB? Also your load temps, is that during stresstesting or something else?

Stress Testing, Well I have done a combination FSB/multi overclock to obtain my 4.3 in sig but I don't want to use that for 24/7

As for RAM timings what should I tighten up? I'm somewhat a noob at RAM overclocking.

As for CPU-NB to 2800+ I don't know if it is a limitation on Gigabyte boards or what, but no matter what I do when I try to post 2800 or 3000 it reverts back to "failsafe" settings, even if I bump up the NB to 1.420v, what is the safe maximum voltage for my NB?

I will probably be on water in a few weeks anyways. The ambient temps around here have been much higher than normal 22C + not hot but enough to keep my computer warm when on air.

You should be able to tweak your RAM to 8-8-8-24
