6950 Issue

Thread Starter
I'm sorry if this as been asked before, but I'm having issues with my 6950. I actually RMA'd the first and they sent me another one so Its something to do with my machine. Anyways to the issue I'm having weird text and I'm not sure what I'd call It to be honest stretching maybe you can see it around the address bar in below screenshot. I made sure my text size did not change and I've tried using clear type, but nothing helps.

It's firefox... you rma'd a card for this problem? It's to do with hardware acceleration in FF, you need to disable acceleration.

Looks like an issue with cleartype. Although you already said you tried cleartype. Originally I had this even after using cleartype when viewing text on my Sharp Aquos LCD TV. Basically I had to modify settings from the TV and adjust it over and over until it looked good to me. If it is hardware acceleration via browser, it's rather unusual.

Your monitor has max resolution of 1680x1050. Why is your screenshot 1920x1080? Your video card somehow doesn't know your monitor resolution is trying to overscan it.
