New sandy gaming build!

Thread Starter
Hello ocn, so it's now time for me too replace my old gaming rig, that Contains a old e6750 and a 8800( that hits 110C under load). But very well this what i've come up with so far

Fractal design R3 (690 skr)

2500k, seems to be the a great chip for gaming (1700 skr)

Asus P8P67 PRO (1300 skr)

Noctua C14 (700 skr)

Corsair vegance or dominator, or will these even fit with the noctua? (600-800 skr)

Ref 6950 2gb

Samsung F3 1tb, is a ssd worth the money for faster boot or is a hdd like this fine? (450 skr)

Corsair tx v2 650w, this should be enough for this system right? (700 skr)

This would be around 10000skr with windows, i could press the budget up to 12000skr, but i rather keep it around 10000skr.

I will buy this at www.komplett.se

Notes
I might go sli/crossfire in the future (2-3 years) if i need the extra performance, from what i've understand crossfire scales better then sli?
I will game at 1680x1050, don't plan on upgrading to a HD monitor.
AA and AF is something i don't really care about i rather get higher fps, or more important higher lowest fps.
I play fps games like tf2,css,bc2,fallout and i will play the **** out of bf3, exactly like i did with bf2.
And my english is **** because i'm swedish if you haven't figured that out already.

If you are thinking about getting the 2gb version of the 6950 go for that over the 560 as there's more vram and has better upgrade value, otherwise go for the 560.

they are suggesting you use the noctua c14 instead of the d14 if you plan on getting the corsair vengeance sticks

Yes it was the 2gb version i was thinking about, but will the extra vram give me any extra performance at my res?

Will that C14 cool worse then the D14 since it's only Singel tower? Should i just grab another set of ram instead of vengeance/dominator and go with the D14?

c14 is slightly worse, it won't mater since you are using a sandy bridge chip, go for a h70 is you are afraid of squishing you ram.

6950 2gb performs better in games. Not by a huge margin but still. Plus, if you ever need a push grab a reference card so you can unlock it to 6970 if need be. Either way AMD graphics cards are amazing right now.

Looks like a nice build

Between the 6950 and the 560, I'd recommend the 2 GB 6950, like the others have

if you want a 6950 that unlocks, it has to be the 2gb reference version.

Seems like a ref 6950 would be best, what brands use the ref design?

Can't find any 1.5v 1600 mhz ram that doesn't have a giant heat disposal thing, so i'll grab a C14 and 8 gigs of vengeance.
Thanks for the suggestions guys/girls
