If your after cooler and quieter performance, I was going to Suggest the Gigabyte 560Ti Super-Overclocked edition

I have the sapphire one 2gb 6950 it didn't do me any harm, although when I tried to unlock it to 6970 it didn't work out, the dreaded black screen but of course amd overdrive brings it to max 840 mhz clock gpu and 1325 memory clock, and I say get the 6950 and in a year or two if you want to upgrade you could just add another 6950 or 6970 and that would be quite similar to the 6990. idk about 2 560's
I max out on all the games though, comfortably.

That sounds great! I'll get the C14 instead of the D14 so i can use vengeance ram.

And i start leaning more and more to the 6950.

6950's are great cards and in the future if you can add another one when needed, by then prices should have fallen nicely
