AMD rana 450 on biostar bios vcore wont change ?

Thread Starter
i been trying to get more clock out of my AMD Athlon II rana 450 , i used the turbo clocking section under bios on my Biostar TA880GB+ and increased the bus speed and Vcore to where it said the Vcore should be 1.488 , but programs like AMD over drive, core temp, and CPUz all say the cpu is running 1.400 ,, right now i am stuck at 3.52Ghz on my processor any higher and it crashes or at 4.0Ghz it wont even start and it seems increasing the Vcore in bios does nothing ,, right now at my clock of 3.52Ghz i'm getting good temps, i have a aftermarket heat-sink and i use arctic 5 at the max running occt for about 20 minutes i dont see anything read a higher temp then 121F(50C)
motherboard Link
and my psu is this if important Link

Make sure the power plan in Windows is set to High Performance.
On idle, "Balanced" trottles frequencies back and lowers the voltage.
Be very careful with those volts!! - it is possible that the PC fails to POST and BIOS automatically resets stock voltages.
Do not raise the volts above 1.48 - at those volts Rana can reach 4Ghz.

On the other hand - there are 2 types of AthII x3:
The first type overclocks very well (like mine), but doesn't unlock.
The other type can't overclock too good (maybe like yours?), but can unlock 4-th core.

I must have the type that overclocks relatively well but won't unlock. I can get to about 3.8.

i tried to unlock the 4th core and i don't know why but when i got my cpu i got a 2nd one of the exact for my friend and he unlocked his perfectly and when he did it would show up on monitoring programs as a phenom II 4X , but mine reads as an athlon propus 650 ,, also it says it has 4 core but the 3rd one like doesn't exist and i cant find any monitor that will show info of it

It sounds like it unlocked the cache, but not the core itself. Maybe. Maybe not even that....
What does CPUz read? Screenshot would be much appreciated

Not even, a 3+1. Biostar 3+1 phase usually use NIKOS MOSFET and no OCP so be careful (though weirdly enough they don't run as hot as the MSI counterpart... must be better chokes)
