Funny Abyssus Jitter

So I recently got an Abyssus, and I like it a lot. It's the LoL edition so it's supposed to have the updated firmware where there is no jitter and for the most part, that is true, except for one very funny case that I will do my best to describe.

This jitter happens the worst on the Puretrak Talent, although it also happens a little bit on my QcK+ and Kai.G3. Basically, it happens when I move the mouse vertically, but at an angle. What I mean by this is I start with the mouse perfectly squared with the edges of the pad, then I tilt it roughly 15 degrees to the right or left and then move it so as to make vertical lines. These are the results (paint):

We see that it makes nice vertical lines on the 4HD (as it should) and it makes some really messed up lines on the Talent. These are the EXACT same movement: tilt the mouse 15 degrees from vertical and then move it along that angle. I didn't hire Michael J. Fox to draw the lines I labeled "Talent", that's just what happens.

Now, it doesn't jitter at all under any other circumstance. The is with the mouse set at 450 DPI and 1000 Hz, but it happens equally badly at all DPI's and at 125Hz. Anybody ever experience this before? The sensor feels absolutely perfect otherwise, but I occasionally make the movement that I described there and it is just totally messed up.

The old abyssus that I returned did the same thing, jittered on certain commonly used vertical angles. My old abyssus never jittered on any of my hard pads either so it sounds like the same story.

I'm very disappointed that the LoL edition is still doing this when the deathadder 3.5G which has the same sensor had its jitter bug fixed a long time ago.

And here I was going to order one from amazon within the next few days. Guess I'll put my credit towards brink or something.

Interesting. I expected it to jitter in general on cloth pads, not just at a few vertical angles. It's unusable on the Talent. Jitter isn't even the right word for it, it sometimes takes paths that are almost horizontal while I'm moving the mouse vertically. It's tolerable on the QcK+ though.

Might be a good choice. I got this one off of Amazon and I was leery of it at first because I wasn't sure if I'd get the LoL edition. I did get it, but I guess it's not fixed on all of them?

Very odd considering the League of Legends edition is supposed to have the newer firmware as well.

Here's my original Abyssus (3 weeks old ordered from Amazon) on my Talent.

You may want to just send the LoL edition back and get an original from Amazon since they definitely have the new stock. [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Razer-Abyssus-Precision-Optical-Gaming/dp/B002XLR0JI"]Amazon.com: Razer Abyssus High Precision Optical Gaming Mouse: Electronics[/ame]

Just a different finish and supposedly has the new firmware according to Razer, but going by OPs testimony some of the LoL editions are still using the terrible older firmware that jitters.

Well, i bought a Abyssus 3.5G few months ago.

It's now broken. I crushed it against my table on a moment of madness, haha.

It was a pain to game with it because it jittered so much on my goliathus speed fragged edition.
