Wall lighting

Thread Starter
Hi,

Do you have any suggestions for lighting up my wall behind my monitors?

I currently have my room light on in this photo but usually all I have is some sunlight/light from G19 keyboard, at night I'd really like some way of having lighting on my wall.

I wouldn't like nothing too overpowering though - I've considered a desk lamp and just pointing it at the wall though I thought it'd be best to ask for suggestions.

Thanks a lot

I use a desk lamp and a construction "clamp" light both with 13w CCFLs. Both are pointed at the wall to soften the light out.

If you just want something behind your monitor, a 12" CCFL or a pair of 4" tubes would light up the wall behind your monitor nicely (mount the CCFLs to the monitor).

That looks great, it seems some cathodes would be the most efficient way of doing this!

I think I actually have some spare in the home!

I have two of these mounted on the wall behind my screens. It's always switched on and it's connected to an extension cord with a cord switch that I use to turn the lights on and off.

For example in that picture, the light source behind the monitor is most likely coming from a white cold cathode. Same goes for the light under the desk that appears on the keyboard.
