Overclocking the AMD X6 1090t - Page 4

For one at 50c full load your temps are fine, and yes either add 8-10c on your core temps or just use your cpu temp-pc probe does a gd job. And if i were you i would back up abit and just get your cpu to run at 4.1 if thatas what your shooting for, drop nb and ht to 2000 and all ram timeings to stock. i have my sig rig at 4.1@ 1.44v in bios/nb 3000 2 1.275/nb @ 1.225 and i,m great on temps and 24/7 stable on every stress test. and my cpu is set @ 19x216, wich up my ram from 1600 to 1730@1.7v, you got some good help already in here hope this might help abit too. Good luck.

Yeah, The NB is a big role in overclocking. Do you know what temps you get at stock clock?

I never even used the stock cooling. Used an H50 for a long time, now am on a Hyper212+. Or did you mean stock settings?

I think its time for me to upgrade my memory, I got a crappy 1333mhz, maybe thats why my pc is unstable. I'm trying to get a good deal from this guy 16000mhz domintor gt with airflow for $90... or do you guys recommend more for 4.0-4.1ghz OC?

It's the top-end limit for the chip, yes.

LOL @ cake.

EDIT: Ok, all settings are stock... idle is 30c? My ambients must have gone up because I'd been idling roughly 32-34, mostly 32. It is getting warmer here though, as it's been humid and rainy. According to this info though, even given the ambient temp fluctuation, my 900Mhz oc only adds 2-5c while idling and 5-7c under load. I guess I can't complain about that.

EDIT EDIT: Yeah, I'm back on my oc and it's idling 3c higher, so my ambients are definitely coming into play with the change in weather. Oh well, I hope this helps at least.

upgrading your ram may not necessary, as you can decrease your DRAM speed.
have you ever tried running your 1090T at lower speed??
because I think that the vcore may be a little bit high, i recommend 1.45V or below for normal daily operation. perhaps, you can try the following settings~
please restore all the settings to BIOS default first!

try 200x20 at 1.45V with other hardware in auto. as your processor is Black Edition, you can achieve 4Ghz speed by this way.
and then run prime95 blend test for at least 2-8hrs and see if any errors occur. because if prime95 results in error, you may have changes in getting BSOD~ try to maintain your memory below or near to stock speed.
usually memory would not be a problem in overclocking if you are not overclocking your memory. I don't suggest use too much voltage in any parts, unless you want to achieve high performance overclocking results@@

OP, do you have LLC set to full?
If you do and you set the vcore to 1.45v, you'll actually get around 1.50v on load.
Say you want to get 4.0 GHz stable, 1.40 (which is 1.45v with LLC on full) should do the trick.
