How i ruined my WD Black's peformance.

Thread Starter
A few months ago, I using Drive Power Manager (HD tune's DEV) i set the Automatic Acoustic Management to the lowest setting, to lower audio. I didnt even realize it reduced performance, (well i did, but didnt care). It abosultely killed the response time, but i was new to building computers back then, and legt it like so. Now, Drive power manager wont work because the trial is expired, and HDD scan or anything else doesnt pick up the HDD

hdparm can change the setting. You may also find other utilities which do, but only on some motherboards, or only some of the time, or they'll be paid utilities.

Go into the registry to renew the trial? Although there's always the alternative, which I'm not allowed to say openly, lol.
