I decided to make a poll to see what is the most recommended free antivirus these days. If your favorite one isn't on the list, post it in the thread.

Where is the poll at? And this question gets asked like 2-3 times a week here. But most will say mse and mbam for back up.

Using the "Search" function, Is a nice thing.

I use AVG and have had no problems at all with it. But then again I use my head when I am on the web so I never get virus. But if you are going to buy one then go with NOD32.

Yes, I know but I didn't find an actual poll about them.

nod32 ;p all joking aside i'd say antivir, MSE is too automatic when it false positive on a game of mine and it wouldn't stop deleting the files, I haven't used avast for a while so i can't say much there but avg is just horrid imo.

But you don't need a poll....

There is no need for polls, jus tlook at all the research that has been done

According to Virus Bulletin
- Avira Free is the best at both Reactive and Proactive
- avast! has better reactive than MSE
- MSE has better proactive than MSE

According to AV Comparatives
- Avira is the best
- Followed by avast!
- Followed by MSE

This is how I would generally list them:
1) avast 6.0 (less false positives than Avira and better browsing functionality for free)
2) Avira (only because it has more flase positives than avast)
3) MSE
4) Panda
5) AVG
6) Comodo
