Most Realistic Flying Simulator

Thread Starter
I'm looking for a flying simulator, I have been playing FSX for long time and it gets kind of old after a while, I just wanna try something new. And I'm not interested in arcade games like HAWX, I want actual simulators.

The DCS engine is very good. A-10 and KA-50.

X-Plane and FSX are basically the same thing. So I would looking into combat simulators like DCS BlackShark and DCS Worthog.

X-Plane is a joke Period. It has great aero but the planes suck. I am sure it is more accurate than FSX but when you have stock planes that are totally garbage to fly who cares. FSX add on planes are 100% and you can get all the add ons you can imagine. Also if you are flying the stock planes in FSX then thats your problem.

I think you need some combat sims! Not anymore GA!

If you want some fun realistic sims go for Lock On, DCS KA-50 or the A-10C I promise you wont be disappointed! Also check out Rise of Flight that is also a very realistic WWI simulator.

+1 For DCS A-10. It only encompasses the A-10C Warthog, but it is the BEST simulator I know of. You are going to NEED a HOTAS and preferably TrackIR to get the most out of it though.

IL2 1946 or the upcoming IL2 Cliffs of Dover.

IL2 1946 will need to be modded to get the best potential of it.
