Hey Question About Cooling Cpu/Gpu With AC Vent

Thread Starter
Hey i was wondering i was gonna go buy an ac Vent one of those aluminum Vent things that go in the ac or the ones you use for the dryer. i was wondering if i put that from my ac vent on top of my computer to the inside by the cd drives or by the side of the door how low will the celicus be ? I wanted to just try it for overclocking it to 4.0 or higher and see if my board and my cpu can supress it.
Plus just to reach a benchmark score?

It's been done. Though I don't know the effects of what could happen. (Condensation etc.)
You'd probably see some *C drop though.

Condensation is your biggest issue, better just to chill the room down rather than direct feed

A quick condensation check would be to blow the AC duct on a metal plate or whatever and see if any condensation forms. Depending on the length of the aluminum channel thing, it's possible that you won't be anywhere close to the condensation zone (esp in a desert where it's often times impossible to get condensation [dew point < 32 F])
