My only objection is this continues the OCN tradition of the OP buying the losing option in the poll.

Seems a bit of a waste to time to vote.

Thanks

None of the people who put their vote on that poll has any idea which one of those will suit your hand better. I was foolish enough to buy n52te without trying it first in store. I just couldn't get used to the button positioning, no matter how hard I tried, so I just went back to using the old model(non-tournament edition one).

I've used both, but bought the n52. The n52 is a much more comfortable shape to my hand than the Logi. It just felt more sculpted and natural. The G13 felt to flat to me, and the thumb controls weren't as nicely laid out.

The screen on the G13 was kind of nice, but I found myself not using it once I started playing. It felt more like a novelty after a while. Likewise the backlight. Even though I got the backlit n52, I dont really need it when all the controls are under your fingers anyway.

The Logitech does have more buttons, and at times I would like some more, but with smart mapping its not really a huge issue after a bit of time.

If you've got questions, shoot me a PM and I'll do what I can.

Hope this has helped some,
Brodie.

The TE version is the same shape as the previous, just in black with backlighting. The palm rest has 2 positions, so maybe they weren't in the same place on the two you were using?

'Button positioning' wasn't probably the best choice of words on my part, but it isn't just in my head. I don't have it(TE) any more so it's hard to make comparisons, but I'm certain that the buttons were different somehow.

Anyway, Belkin has discontinued Nostromu products, so your best bet is probably to go with Razer's alternative, which afaik is the same device, but with a working support and drivers.

Has anyone tried the Razer drivers with the N52 with any success ? How about solving the USB dropout issue with the N52 ? Anybody ?

I have both an N52 and G13. Maybe im just biased because i have played with N50 & N52's for 10yrs but i just couldnt get use to the G13. I just love the feel of the nostromo and just feel that the G13 has a weird layout (the first key of each row on the N52 are all vertically aligned which isnt the case with the G13) and i find myself sometimes fumbling for keys (if im hitting the 1 key in the first row and have to hit the 1 key of the 3rd row, well that key is under the 2 key of the first row and i find myself spamming the wrong key...lol)

I wish they'd come out with an updated Nostromo with just 1 extra key per row though. Don't change anything else, just 1 extra key per row is all i'd ask for.

Hope that made sense, that's about as well as i could try to put it.
