It performs pretty well, I don't know the specifics for each cpu, but my overclocked Phenom II idles a bit over ambient (29C, loads at 45C). This will differ for an i3, so it'll probably be around 34C idle, 65 load? Completely guessing here. All you need to know is that it'll perform pretty well.

I seriously doubt it would be 65 load.... My i5 never gets that hot. I cant even get past 52c w/ my Zerotherm. And thats not even as good as the 212+ Maybe 25c idle somewhere in 45-55 load for the i3.

What was your temperature change from stock cooler to 212?

The 212+ is one of the best bang for your buck air cooler. You should see noticeable temp changes. Not sure of the exact number, but I think I had close to a 10c decrease in core temps on my AMD 955.

i3-2100 doesn't need an aftermarket cooler because it can't be overclocked so the temps you're getting are probably in very safe range - under 80C.

P.S. I might buy another one of the Coolermaster Blademaster 120mm fan (same one as the hyper 212+ fan i think)

should i use this fan as 2nd exhaust fan or as push-pull setup? (haf 912 case, only 1 exhaust fan and 1 intake fan)
