"Ghetto" USB fridge mod

Thread Starter
I found it pretty annoying to constantly have to plug in and pull out the cable to my USB fridge when I wanted to turn it on or off. So I added a switch from a cold cathode kit where it said I should not use it with anything other than the kit ;D

This is the result of my awesome dremel and solder skills, cut some fan covers since they added alot of restriction. I also used a gluegun to keep everything in place and the wires apart.

I didn't like the warm air comming from the front so I used some lovely diarrheabrown tape.

a USB fridge?
Can you call anything relating to a USB fridge ghetto? Really? You have to look at what the thing is in the first place which isn't very ghetto. /rant

That aside I didn't even know there was such a thing as a USB fridge it's pretty neat. The whole switch thing seems like it should've been incorporated before the thing shipped. So good job for picking up the slack.

Its not a good idea to cover up that vent. Its not going to cool as well and ill probably break soon.

$25 for a fridge that can accomodate a single aluminum Coke can?

Does it work well?
$25 to keep one can cool... why not just save your money and go down to your actual fridge to get a can/do yourself a drink?

Still, nice little mod switch and changing the flow of the hot air. Just wondering, why exactly didn't you like the hot air blowing from the front?
