What temps can I expect with a WC loop

What temps can I expect on my sig rig?

For my proposed:
RX360 rad
One CPU
One GPU
Haf X
6 fans push/pull 70 CFM each

Ambient 25c

I've got a similar setup, except a 2600k and 6950 overclocked and unlocked to a 6970. My idle temps are 30-31 degrees in the water, the CPU usually 33-35, my GPU usually 31-33 idle, 50-60c load overclocked. At stock, they were at most 40-45. My radiator is a bit more dense than yours, and my fans run at about 1000-1200 RPM most of the time, so it's silent.

Also, you didn't mention which waterblocks you'll be using, and that makes a difference.

Why would you only watercool one of your two 5850s?
at 4GHz, my temps peaked around 60oC, 4.2GHz I needed to ramp the voltage a lot so around 70oC at 25oC ambient.

You might be able to improve on that with some better fans than I have though.

You won't see load temps over 60 for your cpu and over 55 for your gpu.

Basically, tons better than air.

Is this acceptable?

My idle temp, intel core i7 920 d0 @ 3.8 GHz:

Room temp: 30-31 C

Blocks: apogee xt + ek-ram block

Rad: Black Ice GTS 360

Because only one needs water cooling.
(The one less exposed to free air)

Aren't those temps kinda high?

I get 65c loads on my H50..
with my modded h50 i get 29c idle , 65c load @ 4.2ghz / 1.4v

You cant guess the temps , all depends on what ur using and how you install it .. you could spend hundreds on a wc loop to only install it wrong and see bad temps . you need to know what ur doing before you go full looop imo .. too many noobs trying to custom loop and they have no idea .

Idle temps mean absolutely nothing, get us load temps, although that is ridiculously high and you probably have something wrong.

I'm still curious about this.
What ambient temperature you are getting these temps at?
What you are using to load the CPU?
Are the temps the CPU temp, or the highest core temps?
HT on?

It sparks my curiosity when someone claims better temps with a cooler that has a 120 rad, .21gpm pump and a mediocre water block that are as good or better than what experienced WCers get with full custom loops using the best performing components on the market.
