As of late, I've been playing Tiberium Wars, Crysis, and The Sims 3 a bit the most. I also play a bit of Battle for Middle-earth II - Rise of the Witch King, which is not on Steam. I have many others I jump back and forth between.
I'm looking into getting the following games sometime this year. They are Portal 2, Dead Space 2, Batman Arkham City, the various The Sims 3 expansion pack releases, and maybe Battlefield 3. I was never into the whole war themed shooter games much and really dislike the Call of Duty-esque style, but I may try this one.
Those are the main ones, but there's others.
As you can see, outside of the last one (which is still a question mark anyway), I don't think I'm necessarily killing myself to stick with my CPU until Ivy Bridge (upon which I'll either get it, or, depending on Bulldozer, that instead). The games I play now really run fine on two cores. Your thread has helped paint an idea of what kind of gains I can expect though.
I'm also hoping we see another Conroe to Wolfdale transition and 5GHz becomes much more common on air.

I know. It's like saying "guys", but when done directly, well, you probably have to be a girl to understand. I'm not going to argue over this though because it's rude to the OP. You're free to think of me what you will then, because it's your opinion.
