Ripjaw overclocking

Thread Starter
I'm new here so bare with me,lol. I've search the forums but either by my own blindness or just not using the right search parameters i am unable to find what I'm looking for.

I'm running 16gigs of ripjaw ddr3 1600 at 9-9-9-24(modified) but seem to be unable to reach any over clocked speeds as it shows sitting @800mhz

I've tried tightening the ram even more but it becomes unstable at anything lower so far.

does anyone have any suggestions on how to boost the speed?

DDR - Double Data Rate 800 x2 = 1600

EDIT: That's normal, it's working as it should

I figured as much but what else can I do to raise the speed?

I know there is more potential there for it as I have read up on forums that after test they found that the ripjaw can run stable at 1900mhz, i'm not looking for quite that much, lol but i would like to see an improvement.

You won't be able to overclock 4x4GB sticks at all.You are actually pretty fortunate to have those stable at stock speeds.

Get it up to 2800mhz and you'll see huge gains in memory performance via benchmarks(Maxxmem or watever you choose)

Raise CPU/NB Voltage to 1.25-1.4volts depending on what'll allow you to be stable at 2800mhz NB Frequency or at least 2600mhz NB Frequency

Prime95 away(I suggest OCCT stress testing it instead because OCCT seems to detect errors earlier than Prime95 from my experience)
