that's fantastic!

try like 5 runs using all mem and if it doesn't fail or suddenly your system is recognizing less ram then you're doing fantastic!

K I will return with the results later, I hope..

More cpu is the faster qpi works. i got mine @ 1.40 volts. (I7-930 @ 4ghz 1.275 volts. )
All my power saving and stuff on but esit?
1st make sure ram is good. Memtest is good for that @ 1 stick @ a time. 2 or more runs is good.
2nd I know I7 X58 needs odds to work. 21X200 = 4.2GHZ or 190 X21= 4GHz evens crashed alot. i mean alot
3rd Stress i like core temp Monitor temps and Linx cpu stress. 500 runs max memory then surf and and play a game. No crash = stable.
4th OVER CLOCK THAT POOR GPU. 900 mhz core on mine @ 1.113 volts Im under water mite get full block cover.
5th Look Back to 4th

he's got an i5 bro...he's doing fine atm...he could use some tweaking with qpi and Vcore...but he also doesn't have an x58 board...

loosen your timings a tad, and lower the voltage on the ram to 1.6 even or just right below it.

what were your temps like when it got the error? and you should bump the qpi another notch up to like 1.35...after which time if you're stable you can reduce your Vcore by a notch until you're unstable, then take it one notch up again...

I'm at 9-9-9-24 Q1 or T1 whatever it was.. Temps go down to 40-50C when the pass is almost done, which is where it failed..

if it failed when it was finishing that means that the release of a problem set failed...you loosen cas (the first one to 10) and try it again...either that or lower your speed if possible...i'm currently running my ram at 10 10 9 24 1t at 1750 MHz, and i have a lower quality ram than you...i think...my kit was like 60 bucks, lol...

but i'm also not pushing as high of an overclock...

I know he has a i5 that is why i was pointing it out.
Max memory in linx , Like i say I believe the IX chips like odds. Mite be wrong but owell up a long time.
Ripjaws from what i here are good chips. so i think qpi mite need boost. memory controller like faster cpu is faster data need to get transfers from ram to chip to qpi needs a boost. You got 4 threads Ithink with turbo u hit 21X if not the try 19X only takes a few sec . pc will error out any how and bios u go.
