I have an 80 GB ps3, I'm trying to make it a 250gb, I bought a brand new 250GB western digital at the store today, I hooked it up to my PC and formatted it to FAT32, I downloaded the UPDATE from Playstation, And made a Folder called PS3 on my USB FLASH drive, Then inside of that UPDATE folder and put a file in there called ps3updatepup

I tried connecting the new hard drive to the ps3 but it says, system software cannot be run correctly BS!!!!

I tried using a DVD with the files SAME CRAP.... I'm about half tempted to take my sledgehammer and destroy this Pile of crap sony calls a gaming system, But unfortunately i pretty much have it sold to someone i just need to make it a 250GB SONY

CAn anyone PLEASE help me, i need this done by tonight, and im dead tred.

When I put the 160 gig in mine all I did was swap the HDD out and formatted it on the PS3 and restored everything...Worked like a charm...
