g700 worth going too from xai and mamba?

Ya i have alot of mouses and for some reason i cant stay with one for long lol

And i think i might have found the problem, Which is the shape and found out i like the mx series shape and feels nice in my hand like my old mx1000,

And couple days ago my work thrown away a Logitech s530 combo set which is pretty much comes with a Logitech mx600 and i been using the mouse ever sense than and i really like the feel of it.

I also like too have wireless which i hate wires and my xai wire seems too be getting little chewed up coming out of the mouse which im not sure how that happen.

But i was looking at the g700 and it seems like the shape would be perfect for me and the senor seems pretty decent sense it has a avago sensor which the xai comes with. And i have no problems with the senor on the xai which is the best sensor i ever used.

I like the mamba for the wireless freedom but the senor can get little glitchy at times.

I did hear the g700 have bad battery life but i will just pop in another good powerful rechargeable battery.

So is the g700 worth it?

Only if you want to downgrade to logitech garbage.

Stick with the Xai if you're smart.

I would if the shape was good for my hands... Right now im using the mx600 which i found and it feels more comfortable too me, Which why i was thinking about getting the g700.

Sucks when i keep switching mouses which goes in order like this pretty much xai couple weeks next mouse i go too is mamba stay with that for days than i switch too my warmouse and the order pretty much starts over. None of the mouses just feel good in my hand anymore.

But ya performance wise i like the xai best out of them all but the shape doesn't go with my hand too well.

And i much prefer wireless over wired mouses. And wires don't go so well with cats.. lol

I guess i can always pick up a g700 at my local bestbuy too test it out and if i don't like it i just take it back which bestbuy is good with that.

With the mx600 my hands doesn't cramp up compare when i use the xai and mamba.

I was looking at the rat series but ya i don't want another twin eye lazer mouse lol

I think the "worth" depends on how much you can pick one up for. I picked up a G700 a few months ago for $70, and thought it was decent purchase. My old G500 died and I wasn't covered by international warranty since I picked up the G500 in the US. I've tried a few different mice and always came back to the MX feel, it suits my hands the best for games. I don't play at a high enough level where the lack of perfect precision will make a life or death difference for me.

Some people have reported low movement detection issues over at the logitech forums, but I haven't experienced anything like it myself. It tracks fine on both my qck and my wooden desk surface in wired or wireless mode.

Ya right now i would like too have a good feeling mouse for my hand which im sure the g700 will be perfect sense it has the shape as the mx1000 and mx600 which im using right now.

And wireless i would like sense again wires is a problem for me they get caught on stuff and well i have cats that likes wires so i think that what happen too the little damage done too my xai wire

Ya the price if i get it at bestbuy would be 100$ and i might get their extended plan if i do get the g700 sense there warranty's are pretty good which all i have too do is take it back too them.

I can get it from amazon for 80$ but i would prefer too go local sense i can take it right back with no problems if i don't like it.

I would just use the mx600 but i would like too have options for the dpi and stuff.

Is the g700 a solid mouse? Like its not cheaply made? Why i ask is because my old mx1000 is like tank lol got thrown at the sink by my dad when he got mad at his computer... And its like 7 or 8years old now and still works perfect except the battery is weak and my dad still uses it every day.

I would say the mx1000 is more solid more than my xai and mamba and pretty much every other mouse i have which i still be using it if the battery wasn't weak.

Well as long as you are in the US, Logitech will take care of you. They don't offer international warranties on their products, so it's not like I was "screwed over" in any way.

I think it is a decent mouse, but I haven't even had it for a year yet, so I can't speak for long term durability. It doesn't feel flimpsy to me, but I wouldn't rate it as like a top of the line HQ product either.

We can't really answer that for you. You will have to try it out and then determine by yourself whether it is or not. Its almost nothing but preference, other than quality.

ya im just going too pick it up today from my local bestbuy and see how i like it.

But i just confirm that the xai causes cramps in my pinky... played like 15min of darkspore and start hurting, So next match i played with the mx600 and haven't had any cramps and i played for well over 30min..

With the mx series my pinky rests better on the side than xai and mamba shape mouses.

So hopefully i will like the g700..

I used to own the Mamba and it was a really comfortable mice, but the features and sensor were things that I didnt like. I have own the G700 since release and its an awesome mice. The G700 has a solid feel to it with no rubber grips which over time can come off and wore off. The textured plastic is something that i like along with the build quality.

The battery life is ok depending on which setting you u use. I wished Logitech would have included another AA battery with a rechargeable stand; something like the G7 where you can easily swap batteries.

The features are cool with regards to the different buttons, but I have yet to utilize most of them.

Just make sure to take note of this issue:

http://forums.logitech.com/t5/G-seri...ts/td-p/482089

I've heard conflicting stories about when it actually occurs, so in my mind its a bit of a gamble (I've been asking around, even on this forum). I'd get it from a shop with an good return policy.
