Please please help! Asus p8p67 pro mobo troubles

Thread Starter
K so here is what I put together:
Asus p8p67 mobo
Intel i7 2600
600w psu
4 gb ram

When I boot my system up for the first time, I go to the bios screen, no beeps or LEDs from the mobo: all is good. Then after the bios is loaded up, I select 'save and exit' (or discard and exit) since there isn't much to do. But then my pc turns off completely. I press power on and the fans turn on and the LEDs , the CPU led stays on and the systems turns off after about 20secs (no screen comes up). I try turning it on and off several times, after which it does turn on, but then gives me an error saying "overclocking failed please enter setup". But I wasn't overclocking!!!!

It then takes me to bios set up and all this begins again.
I resent CMOS by moving the switch, but it just restarts the whole process...

Also if I put a DVD in the DVD drive, it won't turn on at all for long (just keeps shutting down)

Please please help!!
I'm so frustrated with this

Your hardware may not have enough voltage or it's not being read by the motherboard properly.

Ensure that the values for voltages are correct and give it a try.
