If the clocks are the same though between the 1st and 2nd gen i7's then no you will not see a big difference in gaming. But it gets hyped because you can easily get ~1Ghz more out of a SB processor.

Intel really needs to release a core i3 k series. And release it $10 more than a non-K. That would be amazing.
