I built this massive rig in order to render on Adobe After Effects and edit video with Adobe Premiere for optimal real time speed.
Your rig was a waste of 5,000 dollars unless you use those programs for your job and get paid well for your work
(I am not talking about independent projects you hope catch on or something)

idk for 5G's and self built... did you include adobe photoshop for like $1000 in that or something? I could have built your system a bit cheaper - I think i have about 3 into mine.. including monitor.

Nothing is a waste. This PC will last me the next 3 years and still be viable. My real occupation is selling Jetski Engine rebuild kits, I do filmmaking in my spare time currently helping indie projects like you stated.

If I want to spend $5,000 then that is my business. I am happy with my build.

Well it's just premium parts. The best PSU, The best Mobo (at the time last year).

So the price at the time I bought the parts makes sense. I built this rig last summer in 2010.
