close but no cigar !!!! - Page 9

various copper heatsinks (vram, nb to name a few)
Copper is the best material to use, copper is generally expensive so don't let the price scare you, it is priced well.

I am using a older 955 be and i hit 4.3ghz no problem with auto voltage on lol.
but its overkill and im just sticking to 4.0ghz which means 33degree idle and 44 load (once i seen 48). I am using a cooler master n520 cpu cooler with the thermal paste that came with it. (i highly suggest the n520, it may be inferior to the V8 but its temps are nearly identical, its cheaper ($30) and silent! It also has copper several pipes and 2 fans on it)

Hows the airflow in your case? I am using a HAF 912 with 6 fans, and its always room temperature in there.

I suggest you apply your thermal paste by putting a pea sized amount in the middle and compressing it, i found spreading it first then putting the cpu cooler causes air bubbles therefore more heat. I don't know why your getting such high temps but then again im using very low voltages @ 1.4v

watch this and you will find pea sized in the centre works best for appyling thermal compound!

not sure if its working or not but the fan pushes a good amount of air towards the directions i wondering if their is a way to see the temps on the north bridge ?
