Thanks for the info, I don't think id put a bulldozer in this system though, id buckle it lol, i'll wait on for the bulldozer till i have to completely upgrade system ^^

I'll be more then happy if i can fully utilize a Phenom II x4 955 or something tbh.

yes i went from a 9750 @ 2.82GHz to my current cpu and at 3.1GHz it blows it away in every single game. at my current clocks its not even a fair competition lol BC2 went from barely 40 fps on low to 120 on medium.

Sweet , did you upgrade mobo aswell? or just cpu?

I'd rather not have to switc hmobo, but if i have to.. well, i have to.

Yeah, you'll need new RAM, new motherboard and of course a new CPU. And perhaps revision of the compatibilty with that water cooler and the AM3+ socket.
However, I would still recommend saving up money until you can afford those components.

Are you certain you do not have the MSI K9A2 CF-F V2 ?
If so, the Phenom II x4 955 should fit. I'm not sure how safe it is to overclock it but the 3,2 GHz should be decent already. If not, get a 965 instead eventually.

Nope. only thing i upgraded was my CPU and then overclocked it. but once i did get my current MoBo i overclocked more and unlocked 4th core my performance easily doubled in BC2. but going from 9750 at 2.82 to 3.1 on PII huge performance increase.

Was checking the MSI site, and for the version 2 of my board, it says apparently that the Phenom II x4 955 is compatible with the latest bios update which is v 1D which i have. so hopefully the compatiblilty side is ok, im unsure if it will be utilized properly though was my problem although, philhalo66's posts got my hopes up a bit lol

Either you wait for bulldozer, or you could do this (everything you need for 500 euros):

PSU (if you feel you need to replace yours):

RAM:
http://www.dabs.ie/products/corsair-...0c9--6ZPH.html

GPU (Asus radeon HD 6850 1GB):

MOBO:
http://www.dabs.ie/products/gigabyte...-atx-73NG.html

CPU (Phenom II x4 955):
http://www.dabs.ie/products/amd-phen...-6mb-6K8D.html

Did a build like this with a friend two weeks ago, pulls ~40fps crysis 2 at 1080p and max settings un overclocked. Only games it has problems with are resource hogs like metro and DA2. Portal 2, Shogun 2, Bulletstorm etc all max out as well with good frames. You would not be dissapointed with a system like this, especially if you OC the GPU and CPU.

Not entirely sure if the board I listed is OC friendly though.

if your MoBo supports it it will work fine. and your performance will easily triple because that 9750 is a massive bottleneck on you're crossfire setup.
